Sweden’s Pirate Party said on Thursday that child pornography should be permitted in cartoons. The law should focus on ‘real criminals’ abusing children, its leader said.
“We want to be extremely clear in that we do not want to legalize any form of the handling of child pornography,” the party’s leader Rick Falkvinge said in a statement.
Falkvinge expressed regret over comments made in an interview with Sveriges Radio’s Ekot news programme on Wednesday admitting that he “expressed himself clumsily”.

Men wanting to catch the eye of women should dress in red, a color which new research shows makes them more alluring to the opposite sex.
Women in the United States, England, Germany and China said they found men pictured wearing red, or framed in red, more sexually attractive than in other colors, the research published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology showed.
Andrew Elliot, an author of the study from the University of Rochester, said red was thought to be sexy color for women only.

The Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen) has rejected a request from a man in Stockholm for a car registration plate which reads FCKU2MF.
In rejecting the request the agency cited guidelines which stipulate that number plates may not be formed in such a way that may cause offence.
The Local reported in July that other combinations that have fallen foul of the agency include Gestapo, Sexyboy, My BMW, Come On, HEINEKN, and Beetle.
Number plates may neither encroach on establish trademarks.
According to transport agency guidelines the process to apply for a personal number plate takes about ten days and costs 6,000 kronor ($784).

A search party was called off in southern Sweden on Sunday as three nakedGerman women lost in the woods eventually managed to relocate their holiday home without the aid of a police helicopter or sniffer dogs.
The naturist campers, 40, 50 and 56-years-old, wandered into the woods outside Karlshamn at around 4pm. Friends holidaying with the women raised the alarm when the nude ramblers failed to return to their cottage by Långasjön lake, newspaper Expressen reports.

An estimated 35,000 people took to the streets of Stockholm on Saturday for the city’s annual Gay Pride parade.
Marchers were kitted out in costumes ranging from the pope to Barbie dolls as they expressed their support for the fight against discrimination.
“The aim is to highlight discriminatory structures in society and point out that all people have the power to make a difference,” organisers said in a statement.
Several Swedish politicians took part in the march about a month-and-a-half before parliamentary elections on September 19.

Sexually active rodents also seemed less anxious than virgins, Princeton scientists discovered.
Past findings had shown that stressful, unpleasant events could stifle brain cell growth in adults. To see if pleasant albeit stressful experiences could have the opposite effect, researchers studied the effects of sex in rats.

A person who put up enlarged photographs of male private parts around a town in Sussex is being sought by police.
Several large images of a man’s penis with a yellow bow tied around it have been taken down from car parks and places close to schools in Lewes.
Sussex police have interviewed people at offices close to where the A3 and A4-sized images were found.
The posters have also been sent off for fingerprint analysis.
